Emphasising a move away from an ultra-ripe, over-oaked, bottled-headache style of Malbec that can sadly still be found in Argentina, this is in fact a very lovely Malbec. Varietally pure violet, sappy blue and black berry fruit, wild blackcurrant and plum alongside a savoury hit of earthiness, this captures the solar style of Argentina perfectly. 50% whole bunch accentuates the floral aromas, and gives a sense of lift to match the ripe fruit, and Matias is converting the vineyard to organic viticulture as we speak.
