Villa Guelpa Lessona 2020 Alto Piemonte

Made from 100% nebbiolo, using clones not from the Langhe but from Valtellina, Daniele's Lessona is a benchmark example of the DOCG, and his own personal favourite among the wines he makes. Gloriously perfumed strawberry fruit emerges from the glass, but there's a little blackberry fruit under there too, some rose petals, a touch of anise, and a delicate suggestion of dark chocolate.
