Nervi Conterno Gattinara 2019 Piemonte

This is just the second vintage since Roberto Conterno of the iconic Giacomo Conterno estate in Barolo took over the running of Nervi, but he is off to a really flying start, helped by the superlative 2019 harvest. This wine possesses one of the most beautiful noses we've come across in Alto Piemonte nebbiolo, with a stupendously vibrant, detailed and fresh expression of ripe strawberry and fresh rose, seguing into a palate that, while youthful, is already complex and irresistable and nowhere near as standoffish as a lot of 2019 Barolo from further south. The price of the Nervi wines will only increase if you love fine Barolo, Barbaresco and nebbiolo, we suggest you pick up a bottle or two.
