On the label, XVIII refers to the 2018 vintage, on which this wine is based, with fruit coming from 22 plots giving 70% pinot and 30% chardonnay. This has ample time on the lees, around four years, delivering a bold, rich, powerful wine with a notably dry palate thanks to a scant 1-2 grams of dosage. Expect cherries, honeycomb and toast with a refreshing savoury nutty character. Superb stuff.
