Clementi Valpolicella Ripasso 2019 Veneto
A proper, traditional ripasso made by refermenting Valpolicella on the pressed grape skins of the estate's Amarone wine (not by blending Amarone into Valpolicella, which is the more modern method), this has lovely development and savouriness, with cherries, tomato paste, pepper and aromatic woods in abundance. Great to match with roast red meat and hard cheeses.
