Nestled on the limestone-rich Vinsobres plateau in the northern part of the Southern Rhone, Clos Bellane produces wines of impressive finesse. Here, respect for the land and the grape is the cardinal principle behind each and every single bottle. Since 2010, Stephane Vedeau has encouraged a balance between sustainable, organic practices and innovative, creative winemaking, resulting in wines that are not too rustic yet not over-manipulated. One might say that, here at Clos Bellane, the wines are the most elegant versions of their natural selves. Not a touch of oak interferes with this blend of mainly Marsanne and Viognier (with a pinch of Roussanne for good measure). Thanks to the altitude of the plateau on which the vines grow, natural acidity sparkles alongside beautiful, fresh notes of pears, apricots, and wild flowers in this full-bodied yet delicate wine.
