Ardmore was built original to go into Teachers, the famous Glaswegian blended whisky. It is notable for both its peatiness and its aromatic character. This bottling comes from an interesting barrel selection, too - bourbon barrels after a stint in Islay, giving a kiss of vanilla and salt to the distillery's character.
