Naughton Homage to Hogg 2022 7.6% 750ml Scotland

Robert Hogg is the father of British pomology, having identified hundreds of different apple varieties and their characteristics. Here we have a blend of two famous cider apples, the Kingston Black, an aromatic strong bittersharp & the Yarlington Mill, a full bodied, spicy, bittersweet apple, aged in 3 year old ex-Pinot Noir US oak barrels The nose is full of orange oil, mandarin, vanilla, pear, dried apple and cinnamon. The textured palate has the feel of greek yoghurt, full of juicy apple, clementine and a defining biscuity twist on the finish.
