Valerie Courreges Ocrement Dit 2020 Cahors

Here we are in deepest South West France in Malbec's homeland of Cahors. Made from vines with an average age of 80 years, this has a rich traditional feel beginning in the organic vineyards to the low intervention in the winery. The wine is aged in a mixture of clay and sand stone jars. This wine has a big and powerful concentration from the get go, but slows down on the palate where the tannins build up slowly in the mouth. A great wine for a hearty stew, or if you are splashing out a big T-bone steak cooked over smokey coals.
