Chateau de Beaulieu 2011 Cotes de Marmandais

The Chateau de Beaulieu is an old property that until recently made wines in a very traditional way, and this has been the key to the longevity and power of these modestly priced fine wines. A treasure trove of vintages not to be missed! The 2011 is deliciously savoury, with deep black fruit and a touch of crisp herbaceousness that recalls classic left bank Bordeaux. The finish is long and firm. An excellent wine for a steak with peppercorn sauce.
