The wines of By Farr have been on our radar for over a decade now, and never once have they disappointed. Despite training with Dujac over multiple vintages, the style at here is singular, and Gary Farr's pinots are always hedonistic, spicy, vegetal, dazzlingly complex even in their infancy, and wines of true sensory hedonism. We have never opened a bottle that hasn't made us grin from ear to ear. If great pinot is indeed about carnal pleasure, then By Farr is certainly great pinot.
