Akashi Tai Honjozo Tokubetsu Sake 720ml Japan
The Akashi Tai Sake Brewery, named after sea bream caught near the port city of Akashi in south-west Japan, was founded in 1917 and has been producing superb sake in a range of styles ever since.
Each Sake is hand-crafted in small batches using rice grown in the local Hyogo province.
The Tokubetsu Honjozo is a lighter-bodied sake to which the Toji, or sake master, adds a small amount of alcohol prior to the filtering stage. This technique brings out clean and savoury flavours elicited through the brewing process. Offering a longer and more robust finish, it perfectly complements a multi-course dinner.
A delicate bouquet and light notes of lemon, lime and straw. After a lively first impression, you will notice this sakeÕs refreshing, soft citrus flavours with a sweet, well-balanced finish. Serve between 6C and 50C to your taste.
