Domaine les Monts Fournois is a typical example of a young winemaker striking out on their own. Inspired and mentored by her cousins at the great independent Champagne house of BŽrche, Juliette Alips has just released her first wines, created by sourcing wines from single sites and trusted growers, giving them a very long six-years ageing on lees, and further ageing after disgorgement. It will be another six years before we get to taste Juliette's first cuvŽe from her own vines, but her history and expertise in the region translate into some of the most dramatic, terroir-focused wines; rich, layered, powerful.
