Villa Guelpa Boca 2020 Alto Piemonte

The little known Boca DOC is part of the Alto Piemonte constellation of villages on the Alpine foothills growing Nebbiolo, often as here, supplemented by the local Vespolina grape. The soils are volcanic porphyry gravels, and the expression of the Nebbiolo is of perfumed sweet cherry, herbs and spice. The palate is round and glossy, transparent yet rich, and lifted by rosehip bite. Ossobuco would be an amazing partner.
