Encruzado is a grape that thrives on the high granite plateau where Dao's vines are planted in the lee of the Serra da Estrela. Full bodied and nutty, this comes on with richness but there is a flintiness and clarity in the finish that is unexpected and gives lovely balance to this very fine white wine.
