Most vernaccia is pretty basic stuff, but this from artist-turned-winemaker Elisabetta Faguioli, is one of the best in Tuscany. The flavour is subtle but persistent with notes of fresh pear, braised fennel and a hint of white flowers. A compelling and delicious white for the dinner table.
