The unique aroma of Chinotto is derived from the eponymous citrus fruits, which have been grown on the west side of the Liguria Riviera since 1500. At Savona today, the Slow Food organisation helps to protect the precious citrus trees that give this drink its marvellous scent. Drunk by itself it is an excellent thirst-quencher with a bittersweet orange flavour that Negroni and vermouth lovers will adore.
