d Oliveiras Boal 2001 Madeira
Probably one of the most long lived, complex and unique wines in the world. These are grown in the island of Madeira under the influence of the Atlantic Ocean and aged in accordance to the 'canteiro' traditional method. The variety Boal is generally grown in the warmer sites of the island and translates to this deep orange amber wine with pronounced coffee, chestnut and almond notes, lifted by the aromas of tart orange, passion fruit crme brulee and a revitalizing salty finish.
