Sammontana Primo Fuoco Bianco 2020 Tuscany

About half an hour west of Florence, Sammontana crafts bright, zesty, low intervention wines on their biodynamic estate. This is made in clay amphora with three months of skin contact, with a further six months without skins before bottling. The result is a proper orange wine with ntoes of honey, flapjack and cereals. The name, incidentally, refers to the 'first firing' of the terracotta used in the ageing vessels.
