Roc des Anges Alquimia Vin de Voile Blanc NV Cotes de Roussillon

The brilliant wines of Roc des Anges are a masterclass in finding balance in this hot, arid region close to Perpignan. This cuvee represents a miraculous innovation for winemakers Marjorie and Stephen. After the 2017 harvest, they discovered a barrel in the cellar that had developed a natural yeast flor. Like a fino sherry, it had gained a complexity they'd yet to taste in their wines. A blend of 75% grenache gris and 25% macabeu; currently comprising of 2017 and 2018 vintages in this bottling. Expect salty wet stones, crisp green apple and a light scent of toast all sing together in perfect harmony.
