Sokol Blosser Evolution Pinot Noir 2021 Oregon
This is a perfect example of why so many Burgundy domaines have invested heavily in Oregon over the years, starting with Domaine Drouhin in 1987. On a similar latitude to Burgundy but with slightly warmer weather, Pinot Noir grown here tends to exhibit slightly brighter, juicier fruit but still with the underlying scents of undergrowth and forest that make Burgundy so renowned. A delicate nose here of cherry, strawberry, and rose petal, with generous red fruit on the palate supported by soft, silky tannins.
